2-16-4 - I phoned Canada Post Online Shipping Tools today to get help with a screw-up for which I was not responsible. The guy who answered the phone (after all the options and menus I had to go through) asked me my name and customer number. I told him once. I have no idea what his name is, I don't remember if he told me or whether I just forgot.

Anyway, after quite a lengthy discussion, he put me on hold (free music included... hopefully they have adequate licensing to allow me to listen to it). When he came back, he called me by name. I was shocked! How the hell did he remember my name when he really didn't know how to help me with the problem?

But then I thought about it, and realized that he probably has a computer screen with all that information on it; including the name of the idiot who calls for tech support all the time.

P.S. He was able to sort out the problem quite easily. I would say that I love him and I want his babies, but I don't think I really have to go that far... considering I wasn't the idiot who caused the problem.
P.P.S. Hopefully, they'll remove me from the "Idiot" list and put me on the "Not Quite As Clueless As We Originally Thought" list.
