Savvy email Ring Sliding Away It’s what time and condition does I know I feel I’m getting older Parts are falling off and leaving My body is starting to molder * Always very shaky when I lay down And I feel dizzy when I get up quick Not feeling good while I’m awake Maybe, gee, I think I may be sick * Wandering about the house a lot I haven’t felt good for some time Just wandering, listless, no appetite No understanding, no reason or rhyme * I can’t count on how I feel anytime I have some very bad and good days Wandering around, feeling real achy Mostly moving and in a cloudy haze * My memory is sharp as it ever was I see things in my mind very clear I can relate, discuss and write down But unfortunately it was last year * I write very carefully on my computer Hoping I can really express when I do Jotting it down, checking the grammar But I forget saving it when I’m through * The words float out in the nighttime air Composed of hopes and happy dreams I write long and nod, even smile a lot But I know today wasn’t what it seems * Dec 4, 2003
