Trinity Baptist
Church

In October, Trinity hosted a men's conference organized by Pastor John Edwards of Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Beaudesert (second from right in the photo above of four pastors who attended).
About 50
men attended, and they were treated to some good preaching on
family values and topics related to the position the Lord has
placed them in.
Music
Music and singing formed a nice part of the conference, with a number of men either singing or playing instruments throughout the day.
Relaxation
After lunch, many of the men went bowling for some relaxation before the evening meal and the night session of the conference.
Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church in Beaudesert had its first service in November 2007.

Praise God we saw another
baptism at Trinity on May 25 2008.
It is always a great joy to see a soul come to the Lord, then follow Him in baptism and join the church.
Pray that the Lord will continue to add to our church, as souls are saved and baptized.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
The McGeorge family — Adam, Christina, and 2-year-old Elijah
— were welcome visitors to Trinity on Sunday evening May
18.
These missionaries to Nauru have the aim — as independent Baptist missionaries — “to start an indigenous, independent, fundamental, Bible-believing, self-supporting, Baptist church on the southern end of the Island Nation of Nauru.”
They plan to do this by soul winning, baptizing and discipling converts, and training nationals for the work of the ministry according to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20.
Nauru is the smallest republic in the world. It
has a single island measuring only 21 square kilometres, which lies
only 42 km from the equator.
It is about 3000 km north-east of Trinity Baptist Church in Brisbane, and the estimated population in May 2008 was 13,735.
At Trinity, Adam gave his testimony, told church members about his goals and about Nauru, and provided prayer cards.
Please support and pray for the McGeorges as they attempt to lead souls to Christ, baptize and disciple the converts, and train Nauruan men for work in the ministry. More information about the McGeorges is on their website.
On Saturday May 17,
Trinity's Kids Club had a lot of fun learning about Noah's Ark, the
worldwide Flood, and how fossils were formed.
After a Bible reading discussing creation and Noah's Flood, they learned how long a cubit was, and measured 300 cubits from near the back of the church property to the front fence.
Everyone was surprised at how huge the Ark must have been at 300 cubits.
Then the kids had a lesson about how fossils formed. They discussed the fossils pictured above, went on a fossil hunt, and made their own facsimile fossils out of clay.
They also made an outline of a Triceratops dinosaur, which was as long as our Fellowship Hall, and learned that Noah wouldn't have had to take these dinosaurs on the Ark as huge adults, but could have taken them as small juveniles.
Near the end of the day they played Noah's Ark games, which they greatly enjoyed.
Saturday April 12 saw a huge turnout by
Trinity members who came to tidy up the church and move the side
fence slightly.
We trimmed trees, made curtains, cleaned windows, raked, laid bricks, sawed, swept, dug, and hammered.
Some of the ladies were seen concreting at one point (too hard for the men?).
A huge trailer-load or two full of tree loppings went to the dump and, as the day was hot, icy cold drinks were a welcome relief to carry us through until a barbecue lunch.
Thanks to all those who turned up for all or part of the day — which as it turned out was most of the church.

There was excitement at Trinity Baptist when the Lord added a new member to our congregation on the first Sunday of 2008.
But within two weeks we had another baptism and three new members added to the church.

Praise God for all he has done.
